~Primitive Sampler~

Here is a very primitive sampler...made to tack to a wall, cupboard, or lay in a wooden bowl, or simply lay on a table....primitive and simple look...I have cross stitched this on osnaburg, which looks like linen....using drab browns, blue, green and rust.....I furthered aged this by staining and distressing, with the edges uneven and pulled threads...this sampler measures 9 1/2' x 11 1/2'...price

~Seed Bags~

With spring here I love to decorate my home with items that bring to mind the garden...here are a couple of seed bags that I have made from civil war reproduction calico in wonderful browns...one is a leaf print and the other a star print...one of the bags I cross stitched a primitive label, 'beans' and the other is plain...both seed bags have a cotton twine drawstring, with a hand stitched hem...I have stained and distressed these with worn holes, and some make-do repairs... both bags measure about 6 x 7 inches

Price 7.00 each, plus travel fare

~Give Thanks Sampler Box~

One of my favorite sentiments....Give Thanks....here is a small oval box on which I cross stitched some of my favorite things,a simple willow tree, log cabin, & fence....colors are drab brown, dark red, old gold, and olive green....the rest of the box is covered in a reproduction calico in a wonderful brown floral print...I have stained and distressed this piece to look old and worn, the inside is stained also....this box measures, 8' x 10' x1 1/2'......like all my needle work, this was stitched in a primitive and naive manner, like a young girl learning to stitch.

~Sampler Box~

I have for you a large flat, oval box on which I stitched a simple sampler.....the design is stitched on osnaburg with the rest of the box being a dark mustard six point star reproduction calico print....on the lid is the verse 'the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest' (I found this old verse in an EAL magazine and just love it), 'stitched by' Lottie Black and a willow with two birds...colors in this piece are all muted and drab shades of mustard, brown, and madder....I stitched the sampler to the lid and the entire piece was very stained and distressed to look very old and worn, with stitching to look naive and primitive....you will think this is an antique and not be dissapointed...this box measures about 8' x 9' x 2'..price

$50.00 plus travel fare,

thanks so much, Linda
