In spite of the neat bun Mrs. Groves makes in her hair, flying on her broom always leaves this generally meticulous old gal looking rather disheveled. Mounted on an old mill bobbin, Mrs. Groves has raw flax for hair, a photo transfer face, and wears her best hat decorated with an old wood button and bit of cheesecloth. She is 15” tall. Only one!

An extension of my teeny make-do collection, these two wee witches are on their way to a harvest gathering. Each is mounted on an old mill bobbin here, but the pattern includes a template for legs if you prefer to make a tiny doll. Each will be approximately 15” tall when finished, their faces only a couple of inches across. Pattern includes a full color photo, pattern templates for both dolls, detailed instructions, and aging techniques.

Providence comes from a much respected family of brown pumpkin people. The pattern for her wonderful pinkeep is also included! The verse on the front is from a vintage Halloween postcard. It reads, “You need not be afraid of me; I’m just a grown up pumpkin seed.” Love the primitive trio of pumpkins at the bottom! Finished doll size ~ 36”h; pinkeep is 5”h x 6”w.
