	"AN AMERICAN LEGEND" An American Legend, Samuel Wilson, known to us all as Uncle Sam! He was the symbol of the USA in World War 1. However, Sam was around much earlier than that, he was born in 1766. My intention here isThis dear Uncle Sam measures 28 inches tall from the top of his hat and hangs from black tatting thread. He may also sit if you choose.	Uncle Sam has lots of details and hand stitching. Signed and dated. to have an earlier looking Uncle Sam in his attire in untraditional colors. He wears an early brown, gray and cream ticking for his suit and top hat. His shirt is a reproduction brown homespun. His bow tie is a slice of early brown calico in a star pattern.

		Sam's face is entirely hand stitched with steel gray eyes. He has stitched fingers and in his hand he holds a tiny hooked rug which reads; "USA". The rug is done in drab gray and brown colored wools, the backing is the same early ticking. PRICE: $297.00 & Traveling Fare
