I wanted to make something to celebrate the
upcoming birthday of our wonderful nation! I made this Americana mat using
early Grey and Cream Ticking. The pennies and star are made from old
Cranberry, Blue and Cream wools. The back is old Grey wool. I have added the
words "God Bless The USA". It is all sewn in Black cotton. It measures 12
1/4" X 12 1/4".

I have grunged it nicely for your Primitive Home. It is an original and will arrive signed and dated. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!"

"Early Quilt Four Penny Mat"
I have added Four pennies in mustard, black and grey old wools. I have sewn it all in mustard and black cotton thread. It measures 10 1/4" X 10 1/4", a perfect size for a candle mat. It has also been grunged for that Primitive look! An original and will come to you signed and dated.

I am offering a sweet Penny Mat which I have made from a very early quilt piece that is in a dark Umber Brown. I still has its original hand quilting and its backing of homespuns and cottons. The quilt top looks to be a lovely old linen.
